| In 1997 we purchased our first pet boxer "Breeze". She was bred by Christine Tricker (Tricker Boxers). Breeze was our baby. She went everywhere with us. One year later we purchased our first show dog "Aries" co-owed with Christine Tricker. We were excited by the idea of owning a show dog and couldn't wait to have puppies running around the house. In 2003 Christine signed over Aries to us and that's when my husband, Kevin and I formed Varsity Boxers. In Fall 2003 Aries retired. We then purchased "Whoopi" from Joan Carcasole (HiTimes Boxers) as the foundation for our breeding program. Whoopi has been a wonderful addition to our Boxer Family and she is everything we could have asked for in a foundation Boxer. Since 2003 Varsity Boxers has 5 Canadian and 3 American Champions accredited to the prefix and 4 Canadian and 1 Am/Can Champion total under ownership. We currently have 2 boxers living at home; Whoopi and Ivy. We were also blessed in July 2005 with a beautiful daughter, Mackenzie Hope. And again in Sept 2007 with another daughter, Madison Joy. They are the light of our lives and so far love their Boxers as much as we do! We will always be greatful to Tricker Boxers for introducing us to the breed and helping us to establish our own kennel. They have been good friends over the years. And to; Joan Carcasole for allowing us to own Whoopi and to Karen & Rick Deschambault for talking Boxer shop and last but not least to Sandra & Scott Schell for allowing us to breed to their handsome boy Trouble! We have now embarked on a new adventure and have moved to Norman Wells, NT only 150 kms from the Artic Circle. We moved to the North in August 2009. We plan to be here for the next five years. We are continuing to breed our Boxers with the help of our good friend Jenifer Sarnosky. The dogs are not too crazy about the cold and neither are we but it has been an adventure!! |
